My Life My Way

Srisailam, the much awaited bike trip, finally happened and this time it was only bigger and better than the previous one. We gathered at our rendezvous and took off at 2 PM in the afternoon. It took us 6 hours to reach our destination, all thanks to the numerous breaks and the photo sessions we had on the way.

The ride had it all. We blazed  past the expansive highways, cut through the idyllic country roads admist the corn and paddy fields on the either side,  swept along the loopy ghats and eased through bumpy mud roads. At a particular point during the ride, we  had a magnificient view of the imposing mountains that lay right ahead of us. It was a terrific sight  to behold and the fact that we were riding amongst such  glorious beauty of nature is quite exhilirating and one has to experience it to understand it better.   By the time we passed the outskirts  of Dhone,  it was about quarter to five in the evening. The moment we entered the forest zone, we could experience a sudden drop in the temperature by about six degrees and it got quite chilly.  This stretch of the ride was the best part of the whole lot.We were greeted by a troop of monkeys at various points during the course.  The traffic was very sparse and the serenity and calmness of the forest looked like a far cry from the bustling city life. Just about 30 kms from Srisailam, we paused to catch a few bites of hot Mirchi Bajjis and a cup of warm tea  to cope up with the freezing wind. We all owe many breaks to Naveen and his serious apetite. The darkness has spread its wings by the time we set off again. We caught a glimpse of the Srisailam Dam  under lights. It also provided us with birds eye with of the temple town and the lights just added to its beauty.  At this point of journey to the top, Vivek and Naveen spotted a reindeer, which immediately rushed back in to the bushes up on seeing the lights.

On the way we had a nice darshan of Lord Sakshi Ganesha. It was 8 PM by the time we reached our place of stay to night. We quickly parked our bikes, dropped our luggages and headed to the temple to seek Dhuli darshan of Lord Mallikarjuna. The moment we stepped into the temple, we  could sense divinity in the air. The place was serene and induced a soothing effect on all of us. We could feel none of the weariness of the 6 hour ride. There were few devotees who were singing bhajans and we were more than happy to sing along with them. That has taken away any sort of annoyance one would face because of the long queues. The darshan was surprisingly pleasant and hassle free.  The prasadam served was so tasty that we all went back in the line to relish it for another time. The ended quietly with all of us heading back to our rooms and hitting the beds right away after a long day.

Next morning, we all paused to have a glimpse at the Phaladhara and Panchadhara, as well as near the dam. After a brief photo sessions at each locations we headed to Mallelathertham waterfalls.  We needed to trail off on a bumpy mud road for about 8 kms to reach the location. The pillon riders, Saketh and Nagendra suffered the most during this stretch. We had to ankle down a series of 400 steps to get to the waterfalls. The ;lace was stunningly beautiful and it had been very difficult for us to  leave the place the breathtaking beauty. During this time, Nagendra  displayed some serious acrobatic skills with a short leap over the stream of water. We had to inevitably climb those 400 steps to get going and it has been a real test to our physical fitness and felt completely exhausted by the time we finished climbing.

We started off and during our enroute to Hyderabad in the next 4 hours we hardly stopped. It was dusk by the time we reached Hyderabad  and all of us had some amazing experiences and great memories to carrry home. We parted ways feeling relaxed, revived and recharged to face a new day with renewed vigour.

It wasn't before 10.30 we reached Delhi.Just as we reached there the usual chore followed, allotment rooms and then little confusion over who to stay in which room and which room to take.We had our dinner just little after midnight and I immediately hit the sack as I was pretty tired. It didnt take me too long to doze off as the A/c in the room did its best to keep the room cool ;).Despite the fact the to beds pretty late in the night the previous day, we were made to wake up pretty early. The weather all of a sudden seemed very different in the morning.I was told that it rained heavily overnight and was still drizzling by the time we were having our breakfast.Upma it was, and ya I made sure I just had something so that I don't feel hungry before noon.(Upma was never my choice of breakfast anytime). It was still drizzling as we headed towards Rashtrapati Bhavan road.We dilly dallied across the residences of ambassadors and the Parliament. We hadn't got the permission to get into any of those buildings.Enthusiastic photographers tried their best to click the photographs as were on the move. Not sure how successful were they in it.Next in the list of our places of visit was Birla Mandir. It very different to the one at Hyderabad.

The rain ceased by the time we got to Qutub Minar. One of the oldest monuments in the Delhi.I kept talking about this place and definitely not for the right seasons. We guys roamed around and had photos around the place. There was a tree opposite to the minar that grabbed the attention of our class gals. They seemed to have liked it a lot that they took some zillion snaps around(no pun intended).Ofcourse later on they did take a few snaps of them in filmy style which were pretty creative,I admit.I was also told that taking snaps and carrying your memories in terms of photos in never a bad thing and ya I agree with that. However things didnt go well as few guys blamed gals for the delay and we may fall short of time later on in the day for shopping.Sun finally announced his presence by the time we reached Lotus temple, we managed to get out of there as quickly as possible.Speaking about Lotus temple, its offers something to think about for an architect.Hehe,I remember me and rohit having a talk about the design strategies of buildings and its technicalities of it :D. A few guys tried to quench their thirst with coconut water around and can u guess the price of one coconut?! Its 30rs a piece and we realized those people are gonna rob us roayally.

Akshardham,it was really one of those very few beautiful temples I've been to.It undoubtedly stands the best.Whats more interesting is, the whole temple was constructed in just less than 5 years. Its incredible given the amount of finesse and niche they've shown in crafting and carving. You barely see any walls without any work on them.I'm sure you would be left spellbound having learnt about the expertise of Indian scultpors and craftsmen. The moment you've been there, you would feel like you've gone back in time, and almost impossible to believe that it the temple was built in the recent times.I just stand up and ovate for the worksmenship shown by all the people who worked for it.We hogged at the foodcourt in the temple. The coke there could just be said water in black color. It was absolutely tasteless. We guys tried few Gujarati delicacies,I would say all due credit to that Kareena's scene in 3idiots.It was too sweet to be had just like that.I din like it.With very little communication,as a matter of fact I would say no communication rather,we ended up waiting inside the temple trying all possible ways to entertain ourselves as we were told that the gals have been for boating.I guess this went on for about an hour or so.Tired and bored of waiting any further we went out.Not before getting lost in our way and having a round of ice golas of different flavors :P.
Later we learnt only to our horror that the gals were out there much before us and were waiting. That was never intentional, but it sounded as if we did it on purpose.Everyone had their own way of looking at this thing and I'm not gonna offer any more explanation of this.

It was almost 2.30 and most of them around were so hungry that they could eat a horse :D.The lunch was arranged at India Gate.It was so decided as a time saving measure. The place where lunch was arranged was not the best of the kind and you wouldn't be able to have anything unless you are really hungry. The place was damped and slippery.I myself made comfortable on a tree and I'm thankful to my friends for having got me dishes served. As always I just made sure I'm not starving.Quickly had something and got out of their. Most of the girls have really liked the place and kept on complaining about it.I wouldn't blame them that either. What followed later on just made sure that India Gate somehow stands out as one of the most memorable places in life.Would never forget it.This time around a few guys again delayed and this pissed few gals,as they were so desperate to go on for shopping. It took much out of the organisers to make sure we all stick together. It was around 4 that we reached Far market. We were given 2 hours of time for the shopping and were asked to assemble back before 7 at Birla Mandir.

We all had fun time shopping.I just understood that its much tougher to shop for a girl than to shop with a girl.It might be very hard for a gal to choose what she wants out of soo many things she like. But without a gal around, its almost impossible to decide what she would want.If asked to shop for a gal or go for shopping with a gal I would definitely opt for the second, undoubtedly.Every did their bit of shopping guys went crazy about shoes and tee shirts, while gals got too many bags and chappals.
On our way back we got into Metro. It was really a cool experience the whole thing.

As I already told the tour wasn't a great one for me personal, but it still left me some beautiful memories that I would love to carry forward and seen them in black and white.
So I pick those moments which cemented their place in my grey cells.

It was during the first day of the tour at Agra.Despite the fact that weather was hot and humid, everyone was high in their spirits and were pretty excited and busy capturing snaps of others around and the fort of Fathepur Sikri. The photographer in Rohit came to life for a moment as it offered some excellent chance to hone his skills but he let him die, keeping in view the time factor, but not before making up his mind that he would comeback some other point of time in life and get as many snaps possible.

One thing about all the tourist spots in Delhi n Agra is that you'll be flooded by vendors selling different items.Don't fall for the trick that kids are working hard in the hot sun and buy things from them, thats nothing but asking for more trouble. That evening few gals played card games with our mentor and he could win none of the games he played!!

The next day we had been to Taj Mahal and we had one of those rarest opportunity of glimpsing Taj in rain.I dont know about others, but I couldn't stop complaining about the weather in Agra as I really had some horrible time with it.It was on the afternoon of second day that we headed to Delhi with a plan to have a look at Mathura and Brindavanam. It was around 4 that we reached Mathura on the way.By the time we reached Mathura few guys stayed back in the bus, complaining that the Mathura temple w is full of rats and unhygenic and wouldn't be a great place to visit. As I me and Rohit, having got nothing to do staying back in bus started off to temple with others.

And what happened next was something really funny and hilarious. We were asked to stand in line for the security check and everyone of us expected it to be another formality thats done for the heck of it.But no! we were totally wrong. We were been subjected to one of its kind security check. We were groped and searched in ALL possible ways and having experienced it, that left every one of us laugh our asses out watching Abhinay being groped!!I remember Rohit and falling on the floor unable to bear the pain of laughing.ROFL

The temple was unbelievably neat and clean and we later learnt that the security check of that kind was inevitable because of the sensitivity of that area and possibility of religious clashes. On the way back we had lassi in matkas and that was really tasty..MmMm!!The hawkers dint even leave us there. They came up with toy whistles and Vuvuzela kind of things few guys bought them and started blowing them together in unison which made it hell for others to listen.Me harish and a couple of others were the victims of this blowing session!! Added to it the tickle torture,I had no way to escape.

Upon on the Sirs' constant appealing we "had" to visit the Brindavanam. Its definitely not worth a visit,if any of you folks plan to.There were numerous temples around the place and on the way of visiting one there were many monkeys all around the place and our class girls scared like crazy.OMG, I just cant tell you enough how much scared they were :P.Something that gets me laughing everytime I think of it!!

Later on when we were about to get into bus our mentor was standing besides as.Me and rohit got a bottle of water and having it.Our Mentor was staring at us.Thought probably he is thirsty and we asked him "Sir do u want water?" and after some million seconds of staring at the bottle and us alternately he opened his mouth to say the golden words "So......(silence followed for another eternity)water?!!!!followed with his most notorious nod!I couldnt help it but die laughing but couldn't do it either for the sake of respect and the moment he left us,all we could do was laugh laugh and laugh.

It was around 6 by the time we started off to Delhi. The girls started off singing antakshari and it went on for about 2 n haf hours by the end of which everyone are done with their share of singing and couldn't even think of a song on more than few letters. The interesting part of it was, during more than few occasions the songs we sang were like La li la lo..la li la lo. and Jana gana mana! rofl can u believe it we sang them!!Taking cue the gals sang rhymes like twinkle twinkle little star n all copy cats :P. At the end it got boring and we had to urge few of the last set of guys who were singing with lot of enthusiasm to have some sleep in peace before we reach Delhi!!

Long journeys,check-ins,check-outs and a bit of sight seeing. That pretty much sums up the trip in one line. For more read ahead.

Expectations can sometimes prove to be spoilsport.Everyone was pretty much excited about the tour and expected a little too much after the amount of fun we had at Vizag. The tour didn't take off as well as expected. We were struck with first sign of disappointment when we all learned of our seating arrangement.Next thing to happen was the results got released. All thanks to Rishi, he informed us of almost everyones marks in the compartment. It shared a mixed response.Happiest of the lot was Rohit.Of course even I was happy only to a point n Rohit you know why :P.The evening passed off very quickly with everyone trying to take turns in pulling each others leg.

For the reasons I can't figure out what is a 24 hr travel appeared to me as a 30 hr journey. It wasn't before 6.30,the day morning that we got off the train at Agra. You are neva short of drama with we guys around. Just when all is set and we are about to start off to the hotel,we realized Baddy and Harish were missing. Rohit and Vineeth stayed back to get them to hotel while we all headed off to station.Later we were told that Baddy and Harish were having a small fight and during the course of which Harish lost his specs off the train.Anyway we were smart enough to makeup another story for our Sirs ;).

All through the tour whats more interesting was everyone took turns to be late.Taking cue from gals, boys did it other time, the game went so on and so forth. The first day we've been to Fathepur Sikri and Agra Fort.Tell you what they were just masterpieces. A entire day is not enough, you still feel you haven't admired some corner of a wall, some carving good enough. Its just red everywhere. Can't blame guys for trying to pose at every single corner of the forts and get a shot of themselves. With so many cameras around, everyone turned out to be photographer. After a while I was just tired and bored of posing and snapping the solo pics of people.Gals were a bit better, they at least tried to have the pics in groups.Something they could cherish for a long time.To my sheer disappointment, haven't found them as yet on fb or not sure if they stored the best ones for days to come!!And then to night we've been to a movie 25 of us in all together.I HATE LOVE STORIES.Wasn't a gr8 pic din like it much, but then ya I tried to keep myself entertained.

Here comes one of the BEST things in the world.TAJ MAHALWe hired a guide who provided enough fun with his eight angle (to be understood as Octagon) and beauty of simatri(symmetry is what it supposed to mean) kinda English.I just wished life has a background score.I can't tell you how much excited and happy I was to see the Taj Mahal. We finally managed to have the one and only photo with almost everyone it.This thing, is no mean feat going by our class standards. The visit to Taj Mahal is one of the most memorable things of the entire tour.Luck did favor us for once.We had a chance of seeing the Taj when it rains. The feel was just awesome.I just cant help it but express my helplessness in describing one of the beautiful monuments of the world and the only monument that symbolizes LOVE. All I can tell is go see it or els you are missing out on life!!

PS: I've few things to attend at the moment. So I sign off.But I tell you I'l keep editing this until I'm done with entire tour experiences.Jus watch out..more to come

Well if I dont write this now I dont think I'll ever be able to!! Its been over 10 months since me and my classmates are done with our industrial tour but the memories of it are still afresh in my mind and I already shared few of my experiences of it.I know people are waiting for so long for the ending. Not sure if this is how I exactly planned to end my experiences when I started it for the first time.Anyway here I go...

It was around 1o'clock that we all reached a small hotel on the road to have our lunch. At this point something happened that I was completely pissed off because it was one of those situations where you find everyone giving orders but none to take them. Unfortunately I was being told to what to do by every one there and this made me piss off completely. And my headache made things worse for me.It was like I was away from this world for few moments not sure of whats happening right infront of me and lost any connection with my surroundings.I guess this phase of mine lasted for about half and hour.Once I was feeling normal I just realised how quickly things change. How much is that half an hour of lapse in concentration can cost me is what I didn't know at that point of time.

Later I was told by my friends that a few guys who were high after their midday booze passed some lewd comments on few of our class girls during lunch. Just when it appeared that things were completely getting out of our hands, few of my classmates intervened and with there heroics and got scores settled with them.I meant to say the guys used physical power to thrashed them off to floor and get them straight. It was fine to this point as it would've been the same thing anyone of would've done had their been any another women in that place.I was back in my senses once this was over and started feeling little better after a dose of crocin.Seriously Crocin is a savior I should say. Hmm after that I thought maybe this incident would atleast let the girls make a move and start a talk with guys in the normal course of time by thanking those guys as a gesture of courtesy.(which hardly trigged any conversation between any of us.Interestingly 10 months after that things are appearing to change)

Right after our lunch we all have been to Borra Caves.Helping someone is always good but showing off infront of girls isnt!!They were few guys who just overreacted and tried to use this situation to their advantage. I find it funny even to date.Few of the guys started rounding up girls and were passing orders to rest of us to do so.I was told it was to protect them from being seen as those rogues may turn up anytime again.Rofl what am I to say to that??

Borra Caves is one the best tourist attractions in Araku as you all know but it is going to be fun only when you have a guide like "Raju" to explain you all about it. He wasn't really good in Telugu nor in English. And his funny accent made us all laugh our lungs out. He used to point at different spots on the walls of the cave and went on quizzing us "Who you think is this?" Even the best guess haunter wouldn't have got it right in his wildest of his dreams. He made us look at blank walls and say this is something that closely resembles a tiger. His creativity of imagination ranged from a gun in a hunters hand to Lord Srirama's bedroom! To date I really wonder about his abilties. I think if ever James Cameron visits India someday he should meet this guy first as it may lead to some another movie "Unseen Imaginations at Borra Caves" by James Cameron.

Once we're done with it we returned to get into bus and remember folks all this while the girls wer escorted by few guys in the front and rounded at the end too. It was told that it was taken in lines of keeping "SECURITY" of girls in mind. I wonder if there was really such a need for so much show off!!

Everything was fine after we were back in our rooms at Vizag. It was not until 11.30 in the night that something eventful happened. Had I been good and went to bed I don't I would've had taken so long about putting up this post and there wouldn't have been innumerable and countless discussions with someone just trying to make a point. But that night definitely remains to be a memorable one despite the fact that it left many of my questions unanswered. I dnt really want to get into details but it just made me know how much playful can girls get in tours;)!! They made hell lotta noise while having fun that they freaked out people in the adjoining rooms and got scoldings from our lecturer.I couldn't stop laughing at it and after a couple of minutes while one of my friend started moving towards their rooms, the girls, who were roaming in corridors around midnight started running into their rooms shouting” he is coming run in to our rooms”.All this happened around 1.30 in the night.

I didnt get much off a sleep that night. The next morning we had been to BHPV.It was good experience. Most of the guys got bored half way through it and tried their own means to entertain themselves.Kailasagiri was our next place of visit. It was almost mid day by then.I tell one can get the best view of the city from the top of it.
I Rohit and Vinay went on roaming along the tracks of the tram.We had a good time all this while. The rope way experience was first for most of us and it was it not half as scary as I thought and got disappointed as it didnt leave me any traces of an adventure feel.

In the evening on our way back to railway station, few things happened.Rohit and Rishi started pulling off the legs of couple of a couple of guys in the class.Once it took off almost everyone joined the party and tried their hand in teasing those guys.At the end, just when it appeared its getting too much,my friends made up for all the teasing they did and a smile on the faces of those guys as well.Even the antaykshari thing was some level fun.Oops,I guess I've said enough so lemme wind up here that the I had my first ever complete night out on the way back to hyderabad during which I din even try to sleep 4 a minute!!

I always thought I would feel better once I finish off writing these part and get answers to the questions I've been putting to myself all these months. But looks like it doesn't.Hoping that this post has provided you some good reading experience,I sign off with that satisfaction.

Its been quite sometime since I blogged last.I promised long back that I would come up with a post on my experiences at Araku. Its easy to make a promise but hard to keep up one!! The strong reason for the delay had become inevitable as I had to clear up certain confrontations I had back in my mind. Thanks to my friend for helping to sort things out and providing a new outlook towards certain aspects of life.Atlast I believe I'm in such a kinda position to state things just as they are rather than add my view to it:)

28.06.09, as far as I remember it was the most eventful day of all my life.A day that has offered remarkable levels of excitement, fun, anger, frustation, what not every possible feeling you can think of in the world. It has given me enough memories for life time, which I wouldn't forget in years to come.Hmm,well I think I arouse enough curiosity among you folks. So let me move on to that day..

--
Settling by along side Rohit and Harish on one of the footsteps of train was thinking of how the day progressed so far.Lets freeze the moment right there and get back a little into my memories. It wasnt just like any normal day.Ofcourse I had no clue of what it had got to offer me in hours to come but,its one of those rare days where I woke up pretty early and was ready much before anyone else could.Much to my own horror I even offered myself to assist my friend, our tour organiser Vijay.Upon his asking me n Harish rushed to station in an auto as it was raining a little more than what can be called a drizzle.Getting the job done as quickly as possible we stood there jobless admiring every possible beauty that passed us ;),waiting for the rest to join us.

They all managed to reach just on time when the train almost started to leave the station.Everyone got into the train with lot of effort and hussle. Now let me resume from where I paused. Its not far beyond anyones imagination, who travelled in Indian Railway atleast once ,that how the compartments are jam-packed.Not many of my friends could manage to be seated comfortable.I exempted myself from any further trouble of finding a seat and settled besides Harish and Rohit on the footsteps of a moving train and went on chatting about all the nonsense in the world.

In just few minutes,I was completely mesmerised by the beauty of the Nature. The weather,is just perhaps what could be called "Perfect".The valleys were covered with mist and fog and for a moment I thought I'm travelling in air( U gotta keep in mind that I was on the footsteps clearly exposed to the outside.)The best part of travelling in train to araku was when it passed through the tunnels. The train was filled with shrieks and shrills of the travellers everyone time it went through one.It was so electrifying.

WE got down at araku after about some 3 hours of journey. The weather was completely different at Araku and more pleasing as we did have the humidity just as in Vizag. It was a bit sunny with clear skies.A couple of discussions and negotiations took place before we really moved to the water falls in 4 jeeps.Rohit and Vinay were riding on their luck as they got into the one in which all the girls got into. I tell I could have given anything in the world to get into that:(. Later I was told that they had some gud time as the girls could hardly refrain themselves from singing!!

It was very bumpy ride to the fall and took about some 20 mins.At one point we reached a place where the vehicles could move no further. We had to set our feet on work and a half an hour of walk under midday scorching sun took us to the waterfall. The very sight of the waterfall lifted up everyones spirits:)!!

Time rolled pretty fast and it was around 2 that we returned back to the spot where we were supposed to have our lunch. Its at this point that the things started getting melodramatic and spiced up.....

Well blame me for my haphazard and disorganised way of narrating my experiences, I don't mind but I really forgot few events that took place on day one of our tour. Right after being to port and before I did my phone calls we have been to R.K.beach.We just had a walk along its coast for a while though.Later on we moved to Rishikonda beach. It took us an hour before we reached there. On the way to beach we found Gitam engineering college.Perhaps it was just a 10 minute walk from the college to the beach. As soon as we reached the beach everyone was so excited to have a feel of the water and take a dip in it. Atleast I felt that way. There weren't hardly anyone who knew swimming except for a few. So me n most of my friends were little hesitant and made sure we didnt really go deep into the sea.

I took certain tips from my friends who knew swimming and tried to implement them.No prizes for guessing.I failed miserably.I barely managed to swim more than a minute,as the waves were too strong for me to handle. To me swimming was nothing but moving your hands and legs before giving it a shot, but it wasn't really just that. Certain things cant be learned in a day.I practically understood swimming is one such that falls in that category.I later on came to know that there are few of my classmates who learnt swimming early in their childhood are hardly sure of their ability to swim :D.Well this way we went on for quite sometime. Had fun.Later on we all got spread out.

It was getting dark. I remained by the side of rohit. After hearing his name so many times all through the post you must have by now figured out that he was my one of my best buddies. We walked along the beach. I found lot of pleasure walking on wet soft sand.We watched few couples walking around there. After a few minutes of observation we thought what a life this people of Gitam are having. Walking alone is so giving me so much of fun.I wondered how it would be like walk there as a couple holding the hands of my one :). We both regretted that we weren't a part of vizag but then immediately dropped the thought when we realised we would have to bear with the sweating all through the day.!! Even hyderabad is a fine place we said to each other trying not to let ourselves down.

We heard the noises made by the waves hitting the rocks over there. We then climbed on to the rocks only to find ourselves among a group of crabs and lobsters. For fear of getting bitten by them we got off it immediately though we had a great view ahead of us. We witnessed few of the fisherman having a try with their last catch. Few people rushed to buy them as soon as they were done with it hoping that they would get fresh fish for sale!!By this time it was completely dark.We all got into bus with a piece of corn in my hand which one of my friends gave me.I laid back into my seat. Though i failed miserably in succeeding to swim it took the whole out of me and i was completely tired and reclined back thinking of the song "Ee rojaite chusano ninnu" from gulabi directed by favorite krishnavamsi and then got lost in to sleep!!

Lemme cut the scene there and come back to the evening of the day two. With just one day stay it reminded me my days in hostel. Except that we didn really have any kind of restrictions. After we all had our dinner me, rohit, vinay and harish we all set out on kinda expedition, I call it expedition because none of us hardly knew the place and we were just wandering on the roads. Perhaps nomads would have had a perfect sense for there wandering, we hardly had any;). On the way we came across a shop.It was completely crowded and people were rushing to get something.Rohit bet that it was a wine shop, I definitely had a different opinion though. We walked to it and to our sheer surprise we found it out to be a Juice centre.I never thought people of vizag are so crazy to rush to have a juice around 11.30 of a cold night. We thought it should something worthy and ventured to taste it.And trust me it was real good. I bet you could never get such a juice which was just half as tasty as it even at double the price anywhere in hyd. We started with one glass each and probably by the time we left the shop we tasted more than half the juices available there sparing the rest for our next day of our visit ;).

By now you might be wondering do I come from a boys college or was this tour exclusive trip for boys, as I hardly spoke about my class girls all through my two posts. But thats how it is. In our class boy and girls share bare minimal interaction which is limited to borrow records and assignments to copy. Ofcourse there are few exceptions who are quite good friends.:)!!But then the next post is more or less about them. Now its "Enter the Araku "

"Arre Ooo" rohit yelled at me. It was his third attempt to wake me up. I lay there still unmoved closing my eyes enjoying one of my best dreams I ever had.It was one of those in which I kinda proposing to my dream girl.I din really want to miss that .So I was trying hard to concentrate on it. This time he shook me up so hard , that I was left with no choice but wake up.It took me a few seconds before which I stopped cursing my friend for spoiling one of my beautiful early morning dreams.Once i got my senses back i realized i was still on my berth. "We are about to reach vizag in another 15 minutes he told." We are on an industrial tour to vizag along with few other classmates accompanied by two lecturers of our department. He asked to get up and get things going to which I obliged. It was because his persistent asking me up that made me reluctantly agree to be a part of the tour. But i now would've regretted my decision had I not been part of it as it left me out with some wonderful memories which i realized immediately after the tour.It wasn't one of my first visits to the city. I had been there quite a few times before as my uncle used to stay there.Of course it was only in 2004 that I had been there last time and been over 5 years.

It was an early monsoon morning of June where one can expect rain at any moment even with the sky so clear from clouds. But then because of this globalization impact it looked much better to look for rains in summer or winter than rather look for one in a rainy season :P. Moreover they are never being punctual according to the forecasts as I'm nevva to my class!. By the time we got down the sun hasn't shown up yet. I felt it could be just his laziness as I found the sky free any sort of clouds. We were asked to get into a bus which was supposed to take us all to the place of our stay for over the next few days. I dint really bother to give a look at the landscape and the first thing I did as soon as I got into the bus was to catch some sleep hoping that I can resume my dream of my dream girl. I didn't really succeed in it but managed some short nap.Probably it was around some 10 minutes before we reached the hotel and my doze ended. We were allotted rooms and asked to decide who all are going to stay in which room. It took few minutes of discussion to get to some conclusion on who-where to stay. Six were asked to stay in each room. When we were about to check in to our rooms one of the faculty members asked us to wait as he delivered a couple of instructions of "Do's and Don'ts" while we are in the city in his typical IS THE style(I'm sure my classmates for sure gonna pick up what I intended to say here :D) of which the do's turned out to be don't and don'ts to be do's 4 us if anyone expected to have some fun.

It was around 8 before we gathered back down at the reception. We were taken to some restaurant nearyby to have our breakfast. After the real part of our tour started. We were to go to HPCL(Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.) The main building was completely fitted with centralized ac.We were served few snacks and refreshments before we were addressed by some officials and were given the details of the behind the setup and background and several statics about the production levels and so on. I did spot few of my classmates who were geeks went on scribbling down something through out that session. I wondered what was worth taking down in history of an organization. Later on we were assisted by one of the Production Engineer who took us throughout the plant for a tour and showed us some specimens produced by them and explained various processes to be carried out I was only fascinated by the complex fabrication of the pipes that are used to produce the oil. It had just been just less than 6 hours that we were in to vizag, and by the time we reached back at the main building almost all the guys were wet with sweat and my position was much worse. Sweat was dripping all over my face. Thanks to my friend rohit and the paper tissues he carried.Had it not been for them I find it hard to imagine my plight. All the way back to hotel I was thinking of hardships of the people of vizag in summer and their ability to survive even under such horrible conditions day in and day out.

In the afternoon we have been to the port. It smelt fish a lot. I mean to say it was filled with all kind of dried sea food. Hence the aroma or the odor dono which is a better word to describe it, I being veggie leave it to choice of you people to decide. Then we all set to go on boat on to the bay of bengal. The ride lasted for about some 30 minutes. This I tell you was the best 30 minutes of my entire tour. The very thought that I was in the middle of The Bay of Bengal gave me goosebumps.I was happy like hell.I could stop sharing it with my friends and I remember sending messages to all my buddies who missed it and was really proud that vodafone had signals there too ;)!!

I've spent that night calling as many friends of mine as possible to describe my experiences of the boat ride. It ended quietly with me still struggling as I ended up in to sleep fighting hard not to sweat.Following morning the same routine followed and we were taken to Vizag Steel Plant.I dont remember anything much to say about it except that it was very huge and it took lotta time than expected just to have a glance around the whole plant and it machinery, we were given brief description now and then.Later on in the day we've been to Hindustan Ship yard and were shown the dock where ships are supposed to get their errors fixed or to be more mechanical get their repairs done. It was because of the special permission granted by one of my friends uncle we were allowed to get into one of the ships that was anchored there to get it final touch ups before leaving for sail to Portugal in about a week. I would like to thank him for that, because I never ever thought I would ever get a chance to get on a ship aboard.

Me and rohit thought it could be possibly the ship used in the movie Oye and after giving it a thought we concluded this is it without bothering much. After all its India and everyone is free have their own opinions. Isn't?!
